The 2024 edition Visions du Reel, a Swiss documentary film festival, has launched 29 projects under its VdR Industries section. Sixteen of the selected films were invited to pitch their project to film professionals during the four day VdR-Pitching and VdR-Work in Progress forums. This year two new cash awards have been announced. The Xe Award and CHF 20,000 cash was awarded to Salvatore of Lucan’s “Life of Tipu” is a tale about an Irish-Bangladeshi who discovers his father’s exile on Facebook, and embarks on a journey to meet him.
